With up-to-date knowledge until April 2023, GPT-4 Turbo emerges as a more potent tool, now available to developers at significantly reduced costs – a 3x decrease for input tokens and a 2x reduction for output tokens compared to GPT-4​​.

Excited to see how competition evolves in the platform and developer tooling space. For now, OpenAI is certainly bliztscaling and executing a critical platform strategy on expanding the market - making it easy and powerful for LLM App Developers. However, balancing consumer-facing vs. truly building for developers will be challenging. Open Source projects such as LangChain and LLamaIndex will most likely attract the larger Developer market share for the moment.
